How likely you are to develop osteoporosis — a condition that causes bones to become weak and brittle — depends on how much bone mass you attain by the time you reach age 30 and how rapidly you lose it after that. The higher your peak bone mass, the more bone you have "in the bank" and the less likely you are to develop osteoporosis as you age....

.الإمامُ الحسنُ علیه السلام : إنّ الحسینَ بنَ علیٍّ علیهما السلام ، بعدَ وفاةِ نَفْسی ومُفارَقَةِ رُوحی جِسْمی ، إمامٌ مِن بَعدی ، وعندَ اللَّهِ جلّ اسمُهُ فی الكتابِ ، وِراثة مِن النّبیِّ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله أضافَها اللَّهُ عزّ وجلّ لَه فی وِراثةِ أبیهِ واُمّهِ ، فعَلِمَ اللَّهُ أنّكم خِیَرةُ خَلقِهِ ، فاصْطَفى‏ مِنكُم مُحمّداً صلى اللَّه علیه وآله ، واختارَ محمّدٌ علیّاً علیه السلام ، واختارَنی علیٌّ علیه السلام بالإمامةِ ، واخْتَرْتُ أنا الحُسَینَ علیه السلام .۳

۴۲۷.Imam al-Hasan (AS) said, 'Certainly Husayn b. Ali (AS) will be the Imam after my death and after my soul has departed from my body. And with Allah - exalted is His Name in the Book - is the legacy of the Prophet, which Allah has added to him along with the legacy of his father and mother. Indeed Allah knew that you are the best people among His creation, hence he chose from you Muhammad (SAWA), and Muhammad chose Ali (AS), and Ali (AS) chose me for the Imama, and I have chosen Husayn(AS).' ۴

الإمامُ زینُ العابدینَ علیه السلام : إنَّ الحَسَنَ بنَ عَلیِّ بنِ أبی طالِبٍ علیه السلام كانَ أعبَدَالناسِ فی‏زَمانِهِ وَأزهَدَهُم وَأفضَلَهم، وَكانَ إذا حَجَّ حجَّ ماشیاً وَرُبَّما مَشى حافیاً ، وَكانَ إذا ذُكِرَ المَوتُ بَكى ، وَإذا ذُكِرَ القَبرُ بَكى ، وَإذا ذُكِرَ البَعثُ وَالنُشورُ بَكى ، وَإذا ذُكِرَ المَمَرُّ عَلى الصِّراطِ بَكى ، وَإذا ذُكِرَ العَرضُ عَلى اللَّهِ تَعالى ذِكرُه شَهِقَ شَهقَةً یُغشى عَلَیهِ مِنها ، وَكانَ إذا قامَ فی صَلاتِهِ تَرتَعِدُ فَرائِصُهُ بَینَ یَدی رَبِّهِ عزّ وجلّ ، وَكانَ إذا ذُكِرَ الجَنَّةُ وَالنارُ اضطَرَبَ‏اضطِرابَ‏السَّلیمِ وَسأل اللَّهَ تعالى الجَنَّةَ وَتَعوذُ بِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ .۱

۴۲۲.Imam Zayn al-'Abidin (AS) said, 'Verily Hasan b. Ali b. Abu Talib was the best worshipper of his time, the most abstemious and the best of them all. Whenever he went for hajj, he went on foot, and sometimes even bare-footed. When he remembered death, he cried. When he remembered the grave, he cried. When he was reminded of the Day of Judgment and Resurrection, he cried. When he was reminded of the crossing over the Bridge [outstretched over Hell], he cried. When he was reminded of the great exposure before Allah - exalted be His remembrance - he would gasp in such a way that he would faint. When he stood for his prayers, his limbs trembled before his Lord. When he was reminded of Paradise and the Fire, he was greatly disturbed as if bitten by a snake, and asked Allah for Paradise and sought refuge in Him from the Fire.' ۲

۴۲۳.المناقب لابن شهر آشوب : إنَّهُ مَرَّ الحسنُ بنُ عَلیٍّ علیه السلام عَلى فُقَراءٍ وَقَد وَضَعوا كَسیراتٍ عَلَى الأرضِ وَهُم قُعودٌ یَلتَقِطونَها وَیَأكُلونَها فَقالوا لَهُ : هَلُمَّ یابنَ بِنتِ رَسولِ‏اللَّهِ إلى الغَداءِ ، قالَ : فَنَزَلَ وَقالَ : إنَّ اللَّهَ لا یُحِبُ‏المُستَكبِرینَ وَجَعَلَ یَأكُلُ مَعَهُم حَتّى اكتَفوا وَالزادُ على حالِهِ بِبَرَكَتِهِ ثُمَّ دَعاهُم إلى ضِیافَتِهِ وَأطعَمَهُم وَكَساهُم .۳

۴۲۳. al-Manaqib li Ibn Shahr Ashub reported: 'Hasan b. Ali (AS) passed by some beggars sitting on the ground, eating pieces of bread placed in front of them. They said to him, 'O son of the Prophet's daughter, come and join us for lunch.' [He narrated], 'So he sat down and said, 'Verily Allah does not like the arrogant.' He ate with them until they had all had enough though the amount of food remained the same by virtue of his blessings. Then he invited them to be his guests, and fed them and clothed them.' ۴

.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : ابنَتی فاطمةُ سیّدةُ نِساءِ العالَمینَ .۱

۴۱۴.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'My daughter Fatima is the chief [Lady] of all the women of the worlds.' ۲

۴۱۵.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : فاطِمَةُ سَیِّدَةُ نِساءِ أهلِ الجَنَّةِ .۳

۴۱۵.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Fatima is the chief [ Lady] of the women of Paradise.' ۴

۴۱۶.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : أمّا ابنَتی فاطمةُ فإنّها سیّدةُ نِساءِ العالَمینَ مِن الأوّلِینَ والآخِرِینَ .۵

۴۱۶.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'As for my daughter Fatima, she is the Lady of the women of the worlds, from the first to the last.' ۶

رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : فاطمةُ بَضْعَةٌ مِنّی ، مَن سَرَّها فقد سَرَّنی ومَن ساءها فقد ساءنی ، فاطمةُ أعزُّ النّاسِ علَیَّ .۱

۴۱۲.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Fatima is a part of me - whoever pleases her pleases me, whoever grieves her grieves me. Fatima is the dearest of all people to me.' ۲

۴۱۳.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : إنّ فاطمةَ بَضْعةٌ مِنّی ، وهی نورُ عَیْنی ، وثَمَرةُ فُؤادی ، یَسوؤنی ما ساءها ، ویَسُرُّنی ما سَرَّها ، وإنّها أوّلُ مَن یَلْحَقُنی مِن أهلِ بیتی .۳

۴۱۳.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Verily Fatima is a part of me, and is the light of my eyes and the fruit of my heart, whatever grieves her grieves me, whatever pleases her pleases me, and indeed she will be the first to join me [after my death] from my household.' ۴

409.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه علیه وآله : إنَّما سُمِّیَت ابنَتی فاطِمَةُ لأنَّ اللَّهَ عزّوجلّ فَطَمَها وفَطَمَ مَن أحَبَّها مِنَ النَّارِ .1

409.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'My daughter was named Fatima because Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has weaned her 2 and weaned those who love her from the Fire.' 3

.معانی الأخبار عن عَمَّارَة : سَألتُ أبا عَبدِ اللَّهِ علیه السلام عَن فاطِمَةَ لِمَ سُمِّیَت زَهراء ؟ فَقال : لأنَّها كانَت اذا قامَت فی مِحرابِها زَهَر نورُها لأهلِ السَّماءِ كَما یَزهَر نورُ الكواكبِ لأهلِ الأرضِ .6

411. Ammara narrated, 'I asked Aba Abdillah [al-Sadiq] (AS) as to why Fatima has been named al-Zahra', to which he replied, 'Because when she stood for prayers in her prayer niche, her light would radiate for the dwellers of the skies jut as the light of the stars radiates for the dwellers of the earth.' 7
