The Islamic Revolution that occurred in 1979 in Iran can be seen as a point in contemporary history that rocked the foundations of global arrogance and imperialism. I regard supporting the plan for independence of Israel and its recognition a tragedy for the Muslims and an explosion for the Islamic governments.

The usurper state of Israel with the aims it has pose great danger to Islam and the Islamic states.

The foolish idea of greater Israel makes them commit any crime.

Let brotherly Arab nations and the Palestinian and Lebanese brothers know that all their miseries are caused by America and Israel.

Regarding Israel, certainly we shall not help an illegitimate, usurper government which is trespassing the rights of the Muslims and is an enemy of Islam.

Islam and the Muslims and all international standards regard Israel as a usurper and aggressor and we do not approve the least negligence in terminating its aggressions.

I have often said and you have heard me say that Israel will not settle for these agreements for it regards the Arab domination over territories from the Nile to the Euphrates as usurpation.

Israel must be eradicated from the page of history.

It is incumbent on every Muslim to arm himself against Israel.

Those who support Israel must realize they are nurturing a pit viper up their sleeves.

Do not support Israel, this enemy of Islam and Arabs for this listless viper will have no mercy on you, young or old if it gets within your reach.

It is necessary that all freedom-loving peoples of the world unite with the Muslims and together condemn the inhuman aggressions of Israel.

We are not a protectorate of America or Soviet Union nor of any other power.

May God awaken those who dream of America.

We do not want America to supervise us. We do not want America to take away the entire gains of our nations.

It is a disgrace for a Muslim country to extend a band to America and ask for bread.

We shall not establish relations with America unless it became humane and give up oppressing others.

We will establish relations with America and the USSR provided they do not interfere in our domestic affairs and have good relations with us.

If you prepare to yield to oppression, this causes the oppressor to emerge. The more we yield to the tyrant, the more he puts strain. If we prepare to block him, he will retreat. The more you put pressure on him, the more he pulls back. If you pull back, he will come forth and if you step forward he will step backward. This is a divinely tradition.

The Prophet was very much uneasy as to why the people are not guided. His agony in this respect was so much that God consoled him:" Perhaps you destroy yourself regretting that they do not believe in Qur'an."

The event of Ashura and its significant achievements are considered to be the fountainhead of many fundamental changes in the Islamic history. These achievements, however, are not limited to the time of that event. The martyrdom of Imam Hussein (A.S) along with his faithful companions on the 10thof Muharram 61 AH, created one of the most heart-breaking scenes and brought on the course of human history such a change whose profound impact after about thirteen centuries is still being felt. In fact, with the passage of time not only this event has not been consigned to oblivion, but also its immense values are day by day increasing in all dimensions among the Islamic Ummah.

Imam Hussein (A.S), the highest of martyrs, rose up against the corruption in government of Yazid who claimed to be the caliph of Muslims at that time. In the era of Bani Umayyad, those who were to follow the succession to the caliphate after the death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had caused a decline in religion by distorting the pure tents of Islam and denial of the divine revelation; it was as if they were again at the age of Jahiliyah (ignorance).....
